malaysians

I've realised that regarding the current haze issue, Malaysians shouldn't have their fingers pointed at Indonesia rooting the main cause of the propagation. I personally think that Malaysia has a bigger portion to fit into the cause of the haze problem. Our farming activities leading to burning of crops for fertilization or land clearing can be widely noticed around Kuching, earlier this week on my way to school, I noticed this piece of land where respectful farmers normally plant corns, were proudly burning the land to clear the old crops after harvest to prepare for another cycle of harvest and they were three spots being burned where black carbon fumes were emitting from each spot of the flames right into the air we breathe. Why can't the Malaysian government implement it's policy on agricultural development to assist them infrastructure wise? At least give them options or do SOMETHING at least to minimize the effect. On top of that, another phenomena contributing to the haze is the "Ghost Festival" celebration, memorial, or wadever u call it, clearly there is no need for elaboration. Burnings. The chinese traditional belief mentions that if we were to burn "gifts" ranging from paper shirts, money and etc, the spirits from the after-life would receive it, well in the "festive season", paper golds and offerings are burnt for the spirits who haunts the world during this period where the gates of hell are opened for the them to roam the mortal world for means of peace and blessings, in other words they meant, "fuck off evil slpirits and leave us alone". Are they not aware!? Our country is in a middle of a health crisis, authorities are doing their best to keep the API level below 300 and people with their beliefs does the complete opposite by releasing more and MORE hyrocarbons and other harmful air pollutants into the air only to give peace and comfort to their state of mind? What sick way of life is that and exactly how sicker can it get!? Even members of my family do it. I am ashamed.

Later that night , got an impromptu invite to head to Kuching Festival and coincidentally bumped into a fight between the notorious ah bengs around midnight. There were shoutings, swearings, cussings, a showdown of egoistic humility, and an example of stupidity to it's ultimite limit. Apparently, the fight was triggered by typical ah beng guys laying eyes on another ah beng's girlfriend named Stella or that's what I heard. What is so great having a pouch beside your chest worn like a beauty pageant contestant? dyed or bleached unsymmetrical japanese-like hair styles? What's the point? WHAT'S THE POINT? the answer is: THERE IS NO POINT!! Eventually, officials were rushing to the scene and chasing all around the area and I saw this guy rushing out of the crowd with a bleeding mouth, exactly kinda like the ones in dramas where u get punched on the face with blood on the side of ur lips. One guy had the balls to go against the officials and was threaten with a pole-like stick weapon.

Personally, I think that Malaysians needs to reevaluate their way of life and be critical in their actions, that goes for me as well.

well it somehow happened behind the park at the garden show.. pity them.

make sense, but still burning paper money is getting out of control, I mean seriously, everywhere I drove that night, I saw families burning them everywhere.. pityful.

yea I guess u might be right about the land clearing, but at least they should make an effort during this period. Why can't they just cabut them and let them dry out and buried again as fertilizers and use tahi ayam as fertilizers? sigh..
