I'm flying off on christmas morning. I'd have gone for a later date and celebrate christmas in kuching with my buddies here but our government decided to start off the second semester the day right after christmas. Not just that, we've got only around 10 days holiday during the mid semester break for our chinese new year celebration spanning up till the 3rd day of the lunar calendar (chu1 san1), how to go visiting!? For Hari Raya, instead they've got two weeks of holidays. You be the judge.
Anyway, back from my rants. I'll be leaving next monday departing at a 11.55am flight. So I'll be there around 10-ish for some last minute alone time in Kuching before I leave this beloved sanctuary of mine. Will be flying off to malacca with my course mate, siew joo. Once we reached LCCT in KL, we'll be transiting to Nilai, Seremban and straight to Malacca. I heard that the on going flood has blocked all main routes to our main campus in durian tunggal as well as Melaka Sentral, really hoping for a postponement to get things sorted out in my hostel before class starts.
I'll be busy for the next few days before departure date making last minute preparations.
Sigh, I guess it's time to leave behind all the familiarities that's been keeping me company for this one month period.

Watched Curse of The Golden Flower yesterday afternoon with a few friends and I just have to get this out of my chest. The unbearably horrifying scenes of Jay Chow in an armor, that goatie and those sharp Chinese eyes ain't actually leader-of-ten-thousand-soldiers material man. The posters were already hilarious, I won't go further about how ridiculous he looked in motion.
It struck me that he looked like a certain character in an old Chinese folk tale character from Journey To The West. The resemblance goes way back to our ancestral roots.
The rest was history.
The fact that Jay Chow wrote a song based on the movie doesn't actually give him acting status in the movie. I still love Jay's song.
Aside from the bad role casting, the story line and the background set up was really good. If only it was another actor, then it'd be perfect.

For those who might be wondering whether there's any significant meaning to this post title. There is.
First people might had their minds set to the movie Spiderman directly linking to Peter Parker's roomate, Harry Osborn, son of Norman Osborn who stole Mary Jane's heart and "inherited" the alter ego of the Green Goblin from his father and the screechy annoying laughter.

It's actually the band name of a particular contestant joining Astro's Blast Off Season 3. Their band name is called Mary Jane's Ex. And no, the band members don't dress up as in pink pointy hats with green costumes.
These are the band members.
And this is their band logo.
The reason why I'm blogging about this band is because their bassist, russell is a good friend of mine and a former classmate. So I figured I'd blog about them for a lil boost in their voting results. Though I doubt this entry would get anyone anywhere with my not-so-publicized blog, but I'm showing my love y'all. Owh by the way, russ is the fourth from the left in blue.

The 2 days 1 night trip at damai beach on monday was a blast. You could say it was actually a gathering with a few friends and friends of friends or a reunion gathering. Whatever it was, we all had loads of fun! Departed with three cars driving up to damai, thanks to Chee Hong, Hong Lim and Clement.
Though I can't say the same for Hong Lim and his ankle, he sprained his ankle while playing beach soccer. Hope he had fun as well haha.

wait... are those beers Lawrence stuffing inside the fridge behind?
Yeaps, 48 cans of Heineken beers are stuffed into the fridge for that night. And yes, I was sober enough to witness everyone's moment of glory. The others were so wasted I didn't think they knew the difference between 4pm and 4am in the morning. All I suffered that night were the huge hammering effects of headache along with each pulse my heart pumped and a sore throat from my coughing which I already had.
Before the drinking started, we played an interesting game, thanks to lawrence, it's similar to something like a murder mystery game, you know, those kind in the 90's or 80's where a murder happens in a mansion then people start guessing the killer.. bla.. bla.. The main objective of the game is to identify the killer by observing gestures from each person and how convincing they were, each person has their respective roles which no one knows but themselves and accusing each other of being the suspected culprit. Think of it as an advanced game of hide and seek using facial expressions and gestures and some deep psycho-ing. At first, those who lost ate 5 pieces of tiger biscuits, then rounds after that, it was beer.

Things got a lil wild soon after hong lim got back to damai with wei khee and clement from the hospital at town to get that ankle checked. Alexis was so wasted he wasn't even thinking straight, wei khee fell with a loud thud, amazingly clement finished 7 cans of beer and yea I was still sober being the amateur drinker that I was. Went to the beach side and chatted a few then headed back to the chalet. We crashed early except for a few who went for strolls again at the beach side.
We lazed around the chalet the next morning till the check out time and took a few group photos. Checked out at noon.

Other than being sarcastically dissed by an the old female nurse on my qualifications of being a male nurse (which I never thought of becoming one), this was probably the most fun I've had in a while.

Two weeks of separation from the blogging world is really getting into me... I dare say that I might, one day, possibly will stop blogging. I don't really know.
What ever it might seem, I am indeed still alive if anyone out there actually wondered where I was. I was staying at my dad's for almost the past week. Thanks to paranoia from dad, no internet, and no telephone, not even a single line. I chose to stay at my dad's for a week and my aunt's for a week in turns, to keep things from both sides of the family "alive". So I figured that y'all should know that this time I'm at my aunt's where the internet's a click through and telephones are free (evil grins!).
I did a lot of stuff during the past weeks. Not in chronological order,
- Hung out with Joel, Cindy and Nurul for late night dinner and supper. Joel still looks great and clean shaven as usual, Cindy lost weight and Nurul with her proud hair-do.
- Ate two steamboat dinners in one week, once here and then two more times in Kuching. Thanks to both Chee Khoon who flew to Kuching and my former schoolmates, I think I now have a reason to change that imaginary weighing scale in my head which I think is condemned by now
- Finally got my taste of Kuching kolo mee!! kueh chap!! Heaven
- Went to Damai Beach on Monday with former classmates and schoolmates in form 6. It was a blast!
- Supper almost every night with friends, expressing my deepest gratitude for Kennedy for willing to drive us around without any reluctance. THANKS Ken!
- Laptop Movie Marathon on Prison Break season 1 and season 2 (I need updated episodes for season 2!) and Naruto with other animes.
- Met up with relatives, aunts and uncles, cousins and baby cousins!
Left a few more things to enjoy Kuching to the fullest before I head back to Malacca on Christmas morning.
p/s: Going for laksa tomorrow morning and heading to waterfall spots at Ranchang with chee khoon from KL.
