help me cum

or should I say "help cum me", "cum help me" or just "me cum help"? Isn't it amazing how sentence structuring can alter the meaning of a message in so many ways? Anyway, back to this entry.

Normally those who are already familiar with short text messaging (SMS), would probably be familiar with the word "cum" as a simpler way to represent "come" (I'm guessing Alexis would know better if he's reading this) by just thumbling "C", "U" and "M" as opposed to thumbing "C", "O" with a pause then "M" again then "E" which is pronounced the same only without the pause and the extra letter.

In this sense, SMS jargons are forgivable and there's undoubtedly nothing unorthodox about it. However, if road signs were to be labeled or banners printed with these jargons... the world would end, seriously. Still, our brain would be able to associate these jargons (or mistakes) with words or meanings that would bring some sense into it.

BUT putting it like THIS, is simply unforgivable.

I was laughing so hard once I saw this vacancy sign walking back from lunch with Kennedy, snapped a shot and soon realized that the store actually meant "Vacancy - Welder cum Helper". I guess when the store owner was hiring welders, he then decided that he needed more welders/helpers to "cum" instead.

Let's just hope that the public won't just focus on a specific part of the sign like how I did. It really made my day.

Did it made yours?

I miss class

and yes, I do mean every word of it.

Going into my 4th day of industrial training and I practically have my daily schedule organized. In fact, it's so organized that it scares me... A LOT.

I wake up at 7am being consciously awake, I lazed on my bed till 7.20am (it happens I don't know why), get prepared and depart to work at 8am. Apart from the lunch break and the occasional "loo", once I reach the office and plugged in my laptop, this is what I see next for rest of the hours in the office.

Then I get off work at 5pm and walked home reaching at 5.30pm the least. Dinner at 6pm then I'm left with 6 hours to kill before I sleep and the cycle continues till the next day once I wake up.

Knowing the fact that I have to use my brain at it's full capacity everyday for my programming assignment, I'm obligated to have sufficient sleeping hours. I've never had my bedtime set any earlier than 1am even if it was during the finals. Just so you know, I wouldn't even be remotely close to considering it.

What happened to all times when bedtime's no earlier than 3am? getting into class 15 to 30 minutes late not knowing what I missed in class? What happened to all the uncertainties that freedom unravels to us with every tick of a second?

Imagine me stuck in this orderly, boxed and controlled life for the next 5 months? It's barely even a week and now I'm at the verge of hyperventilating my lungs out. I can't even bring myself to imagine myself in the next 5 months.

It scares me.

the beginning of an end

I'm not exactly sure how I'd write this entry.

Right now I'm back in Kuching and I'm supposed to be happy about it and I'm not, but on the other hand, I'm glad that I'm back Kuching away from Melaka, and on the other hand, I'm a little moody and saddened that I've already left Melaka away from my university buddies for 5 months, and on the other's other hand, it's kind of a relief that I've already left Melaka for Kuching. Get what I mean? I don't either.

Well the final exam's finally over.

final subject

Kennedy and Chee Khoon drove up to Melaka for a day trip and brought me down to KL.

at dataran pahlawan melaka

the day after, went for my favourite Fish Head Bee Hoon (鱼头米粉) at Taman Desa,

love it!

then that evening, we finally boarded our ride and left the Peninsular for Kuching.

bird's eye view on KL from the plane

and now, I'm gonna start my industrial training tomorrow on Monday/

I would say I'm looking forward to it, but I'd be lying if I said so. Partially because I've worked at my cousin's company a few years back before and it has kinda influenced me in a very unpleasant sense. It's the past I know, but it really had a big impact on how I am today, and how I bring myself, the reason why I chosed the same company as my industrial training I guess has something to do with my desire of wanting to compensate and redeem myself for what I've been through that time, and face them right in the face. No one would understand how I felt back then and I don't blame them, but it's really a big deal for myself because that time I didn't have anyone to lean on or a shoulder to cry on, and I'm really hoping things would be different this time for the better.

Well, I gotta go off to bed and prepare for tomorrow's training. More entries soon hopefully.
