my journey begins

I'll be flying off tomorrow for my studies at KUTKM Melaka.. Will be missing a lot of people back home.. hope the pressure won't get into me and break my frail old soul. There's a lot to do once I reach there, the hostels, rooms. Gosh, can't possibly imagine. The only hope that I'm clinging on, is my appeal for electronic telecommunication at UNIMAS. Hope everything get's through.

In the meantime, I'll be making the best of what fate has layed upon me and vowed not to let roadblocks call out the worst in me. Wish me luck guys.. I may or may not be blogging for a short while (deprived internet access). Anyone heading to KL or KUTKM who knows me, do give me a call aight? I'd really appreciate the company hehe..

this isn't fair

I couldn't understand how an event like that could've happened to me. I mean isn't being the black sheep in the university intakes results enough? But I still have to endure the pain of sheer loneliness? It literally broke my soul and the very being that I am, no drama, just that.

I can't believe that my eyes are already watery just typing this entry. Is my heart that brittle? or is it normal? Many times I've doubt myself for being unique in the sense of being different where the status quo will always be obliged. I've never been true to myself, mentally and spiritually, but I have no choice but to force myself to be so. At the conference at the SUPP this afternoon where all seniors from their respectful universities were there to meet up with their new intakes, I was ushered to this group on stage directed to a piece of paper which says "Kolej Universiti". Apparently, college universities are being bundled up in a group rather than individually called in three lettered acronyms bla bla bla...

NO seniors from KUTKM came to meet up with me, to make things more saddening, I was the ONLY chinese known now that was going to KUTKM. The moment I knew that, I felt like my whole world has ended and there simply isn't any meaning of continuing my studies. The commitee member of SUPP had to throw me in with KUITTHO since I'm all alone. I sat there on the floor like a broken soul with no will to survive while listening to the seniors from KUITTHO joyously explaning the surrounding areas at Johore, food, the faculty and the college university. I left early and walked under the rain holding back my tears untill I was inside my car.

I cried.

I wept and felt like no one would understand how it felt to be alone. I was so mad and sad at the same time not knowing what to do while trying hard navigating the wheels back home and working my way past the blurry view.

Some might not understand why it happened, but some might. So for now, I'm going to try and live past the grief this day, continue getting my medical checkup and appeal for UNIMAS tomorrow. The least of what I can do.

the last gathering

After nearly two years of studying in form 6 and forcing my brain juice to go wild. It has finally come untill this day when all our form 6 schoolmates get's scattered around throughout the whole of Malaysia according to their designated universities. Where a new lease of life starts and a whole new journey begins.

Last saturday night, all form 6 science stream students were gathered at some all-you-can-eat buffet along Jalan Pending area. It was really the night where we would be seeing the groups of people together again. All u can hear are people exchanging words and thoughts, asking where u and I are going, all stuff related to university life. Although the food wasn't great, but instead the gathering compensated for the dinner that night.

Every part of that night was a highlight, and I'll definitely remember the night when I almost vomitted when I reached home from that buffet gathering for years to come.

All the best to y'all who's reading this entry.

changes

Well, by now I guess you guys should've realised the change in my blog right? The new flash header obviously. It took me like 2 days to finish the details while bearing the duties and patience of a movie director, but losing the camera crew and substituting it with a computer and a macromedia flash software. The results? A combination of sheer determination and beauty... Alrite alrite, mayb that was a lil too dramatic. I had to compliment myself a way or another right? *hiaks*

Anyway, the flash movie is technically still under probation which leaves YOU guys to comment and give in ideas on how the flash movie could be improved because this is what I could come up with. Keep those blogger comments coming!

The Malaysian Education Ministry is a screw up. Period.

If you're wondering whether I said that our of anger and rage? You're right. If you think what I said was in favour of the Education Ministry's incompetence? Bingo, big time. My application for my university intake was thrown back at my face like a brick wall.

I was offered the course of electronic engineering (computer engineering), the exact words were "KEJURUTERAAN ELEkTRONIK (KEJURUTERAAN COMPUTER)" despite the fact that I've made it really god damn clear that my applying subjects do not have the term "computer" in it. I couldn't even determine which friggin' course I was offered, whether it's electronic engineering or just computer engineering, hence the obvious in stupidity.
The Ministry should take the process of determining courses for applying students more seriously rather than folding their names into small bits of paper, and throwing them into a giant bowl for a lottery draw...!

"Alrite, now this fellow. Uh... Ah Sam ah, mopping the floor one? Ah, you. Come come, help me do lucky draw..."

(You get the point)

Anyway, I'll be appealing for the courses that I'd really want with the help of SUPP's Youth Education Unit. In the meantime, I'll be heading to Melaka to study while waiting for my appeal results. The only thing that's troubling me is the fact that I'm going there alone, no friends that I know of were being given the same university as mine, all by my own. ANyone? ANyonE?? who's being accepted by Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia (KUTKM) at Melaka ?

This is really sad.

Due to the over amount of time I have in my hands, I took an online survey test from tickle just to check out how gay I was. The results shocked me.. Well, it did at first.

Initially when I saw the number "46" percent, it almost got me into a cardiac arrest. That was till I saw the terms "too straight" and "too gay" with my meter landing right in the middle slightly slanted to the left (of course).

Apparently, I'm "a happy and well adjusted homo guy!". Now, logically speaking, if it was a bisexuality test, wouldn't I have aced it with a score of 96%?

hmm... now where do I click for that bisexuality test......

I must admit, I've gradually starting to grow interest towards football and it's really worries me that I might evolve into a football fanatic in extreme circumstances in the future. NOOooooo...

12 years back, I still remember watching football thinking of it as a meaningless game between 11 people kicking each other's legs to snatch the ball and kicking it into a big net guarded by someone who would kill just to prevent the ball from entering, simple as that. Now 12 years later, curious about what the commotion's all about, I decided to watch the first match between Germany against Costa Rica. Gosh the thrill and the rush when the lifeles ball are being passed on and struck goal where faces of the players, the crowd, the coaches lights up with joy needless of prozac. The kicks and techniques. The close-calls (OWwwwwww, damn!). It was then I understand why football can be so addictive and fun at the same time (leave the betting fiesta aside lah).

Can't wait to watch the match between Brazil and Croatia at 3am later. Brazil!

p/s:
I just found out the acronym world "FIFA" actually stands for "Fédération Internationale de Football Association". How embarassing can it get?

After much downloading and uploading which was done at the local cybercafe, finally I could graphically post an entry on the trip in May. These are a few pictures I took in KL owing credits to Sullivan and Jeffrey for their digicam and cameraphone. Thanks guys, owe u one.

Once jeff and I landed 2 hours earlier on the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) and having to wait for kim soon and kelvin on their next flight, we took a 20 mins bus ride to KLIA and had our lunch at KFC just to kill time and literally had my first step in the airport.

my initial expression was, "woohhhhooww... dude".

We took a few turns around the city later and found our refuge here near the Bukit Bintang area at a place called Comfort Inn. Actually by regulations, we were exceeding their "quota" for persons being allowed in the room for 3 but the staffs there were nice enough to bend the rules for us, not to mention they were pretty friendly and we managed to chat up a few laughs with the counter staffs during our stay.

Comfort Inn, main entrance door and how it looked from outside. Thumbs up for the staffs!

Bukit Bintang area where we stayed, with stalls that never show prices for their foods. blood suckers!

For the consecutive days ahead, we monorail-ed to Mid Valley, Berjaya Times Square, KLCC just to name a few. Snapped a few shots here and there.

This puts to shame Shopping Complexes in Kuching, BIG TIME.

like I said, BIG TIME.

Even Jackie Chan prefers to open a fitness club in Mid Valley. Hey wait, Jackie Chan owns a fitness club!?!

u have no idea how bad my muscle spasms were after I saw the skin.

Take em' for a test drive. In Kuching, we can't.

We walked pass this standing banner at Suria KLCC by the toilet entry which states "RM2.00 per entry". Curious as a cat, me and Dennis paid the amount and was given a wrapped small scented paper wet towel beforehand, so we got in. Gosh even the word "toilet" seems inappropriate to be used at this point. I shall now address it by "the loo". The sink was operated by an automatic sensor to turn it on and off, not the common pass and flow type, u have to pass through a sensor that says "on" to actually turn it on, likewise for "off". For liquid soap, the cylindrical top serves this purpose, just push the button.

now how the hell do I turn it on?

The fun doesn't just end there, there's actually branded talcum powder, facial cleanser, hand lotion, vitamin E moisturising spray and paper towels provided. More amazingly, it's in a men's loo. I guess it's custom made for the modern metrosexual man afterall. All that for RM2.00.

cleanse first or moisturize?

Took off on the 15th to Genting on a bus and took the skyway ride up to Genting. It was a little daunting at first when we were "lift-off" from the platform onto the cable line going up, too bad one of our friend couldn't bare the view of heights and had his eyes shut tight through the journey up. Blame phobia.

"Orvua!"

"Adios!"

All in a day's work...

Sunday, June 4

I just bought a new phone last friday. No, it's not the RM2000+ Walkman phone, nor the Nokia N series, just a simple Sony Ericsson z300i flip phone. This new baby of mine has dual screen, inside being a simple 65k color internal screen and a 64 x 64 external LCD screen with 32 chord polyphonic man and GPRS enabled. All this for a price of RM270.
After much suffering and humiliation from my current Panasonic A100 phone where the only thing keeping the case and the battery pack from falling appart is a mere red coloured rubber band, sad really. I first saw it at thursday afternoon and I went home and thought about it. So I managed to fork out a few cash from the atm the next day and got that phone.

Just what I need for now, a simple and nice flip phone. No strings attached.

I was looking through the archives links and just realised that I've been in the blogging scene for almost 2 years man! From June 2004 till June 2006! Woot! I just can't wait to read through my archives on the highlights of my life for the past two years. I can still remember those first few months where I started blogging where it was more about a diary about me telling the whole world what I did almost everyday but I gradually turned more involved in my personal life as well as my thoughts and to get it out in the open to express your thoughts and feelings.

Now that's what blogging's all about.

Starting on from the 1st of June, I've achieved sweet liberation from the slavery of having my lips squeezed in between customer's ass and being confined in the four walls of endless ticking of clocks and wristwatches. I hereby declare myself..... liberated.

As free as a bird I was, I wake up each morning bored and pointless as if I've lost my will to survive.. well not exactly to that extent, but u get the idea. After 7 months of employment with Tokyotime Watchmart, under my undying dedicated devotion on my job, I've sequestered myself from all means of social interactions with the world. It's something like once u finally got off a train in spain, the next challenge is finding a number to call a cab but yet u don't know where is the information counter and you don't speak spanish. But no worries, I still have my head intact. Maybe I'll start going to the library and start reading those books on the shelf that I've been craving to read, maybe even getting back into current issues the countries' government has to offer.

Anyways, working there has really gave me the necessary fundamental exposure of what the dog-eat-dog world is like. I've definitely grown in my talking mainly because my job requires me to constantly interact with strangers customers be it at price-haggling or a friendly greeting. Well, come to think of it, it ain't that bad so far.

I'd better wrap it up for today, or else I'll start to bore, toodles.
