Befrienders

I've heard about this organization called "Befrienders" being publicized on the radio repeatedly with the idea of being a site where people exercise their right for a social-life expansion scheme endorsing spam on the net(like every other peer-searching sites) but never actually visited it. Browsing Jess's blog and eventually led me to this site. I figured I'd probably play a little role as a blogger to let others know what Befrienders.org is all about and how little we can do for a save friends and reduce the suicidal mortality rate in our community.

Befrienders.org is a site where troubled or suicidal people in despair can express their problems in life and be heard. Most importantly befrienders DO NOT JUDGE. Regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientations, race, or cultural backgrounds. They do not tell you what to do, they just listen, on circumstances, it makes all the difference between life and death.

Statistics are shocking, one death every 40 seconds from suicide cases. Let people around you know that there is someone to talk to.

This site gave me somewhat an instant epiphany of caring and being aware of people around us means a lot as we all are unique individuals with a purpose in life. Most importantly, we should NOT JUDGE.

Take this test to test yourself on how well you know about suicidal myths.
