my comeback

I'm now glad to declare that desmond ngo is back in action! With internet access at the tip of my fingers and an overwhelming urge for more blogging. Albeit being 1 day late to blog for new years compared to last year which was 6 days, I take my defense. Be warned from this point on you will encounter extremely boring updated entries about me myself. So.. uh, I warned ya!

First and foremost, I'd like to wish everyone merry christmas and a happy new year 2007. I wasn't able to do anything to get online from the earthquake at taiwan and the whole mojo internet access stuff we had to go through. After I landed in malacca on christmas morning, I was literally separated from the whole world with the sad realization of how vulnerable I was. It was ugly, imagine an addicted junkie with their supply of drugs cut off for one whole week. Anyway, be glad that things are back as it was before.

Let's talk about christmas, I'm not that of a religious person that believes in the birth of god and stuff, so let's stop right here. Last year during christmas night, I was involved in a car accident and I must strongly stress that I did not not purposely or so much attempt to drift, it was raining and the slippery road was a 200+ degree curve. I was driving my aunt's beetle because that was the only car which wasn't blocking the other cars and I was late for the gathering at alexis' after work. But I was glad I did, because if I was driving a buatan malaysia vehicle, the crash with the lamp post would've sent me straight to the underworld rather than scars and bruises. You'd be reading the words on my gravestone and not this entry. I posted an entry about it in the January 2006 archives.

This year, I celebrated christmas all for the sake of the event in kuching, in mid air and finally in malacca. The day before we went to some local clubbing venue with a wei khee, clarissa and a few friends for the eve celebrations, lazed around for around 30 minutes then we had a simple kopitiam gathering while the clock strikes 12 on christmas. Then the next day was my flight back to malacca.

Now my new year this year, last year was pretty much a breeze through new year, no countdowns, no resolutions set, no huge celebrations whatsoever. However, I'm glad that this year I got to go KL down to sungai wang for the new year countdown with alexis and chee hong along with a few friends. I'd have post some photos but din get the photos yet. The countdown was sadistically ugly and amazingly fun. I tell you, nothing beats the feeling of spraying confetti strings and artificial self-dissolving snow flakes at strangers around you without worrying getting punch on the face. After the clock strikes 12, it looked as though it was snowing for the first time in Malaysian history right in front of sungai wang plaza. It was an experience to remember. However, the next day was another problem on getting a bus ride back to Malacca, I gave up and took the last minute RM15 bus ride available from Puduraya to Malacca even though I knew the standard bus fare was RM9.50. F**king blood suckers.

Well, the past is the past, it's time to look forward for new visions and new anticipations. This for me is the meaning of life. Looking forward to year 2007.

Will update soon..
