Today was the official opening of Boulevard in 4½ mile Kuching. First ever shopping mall in Kuching where visitors can ice skate!
Although the construction looks complete from the outside, some stores inside were still under the progress of renovating. I guess they did rush the opening a little too soon.
The traffic today was congested like crazy! I was stuck in traffic while driving my way back home! Probably because it was a saturday afternoon along with the opening of the mall. Eventually I parked behind the mall at the side road in front of someone's house and took a few minutes walk instead and I'm glad I did before I get stuck in traffic again.
The hypermarket was swarming with people! like how Kenny Sia would put it as a direct translation from a chinese idiom, People Mountain, People Sea.
Not as big as I expected the mall to be, but it's good enough, no complaints. The hypermarket has everything you need. Now we don't have to drive all the way down town for a hypermarket. I heard Star Cineplex or TGV is opening there, and again another reason for not driving all the way to town.
Will expect it to be better when all the stores are done renovated.
We'll see how The Spring do next year.
