flooded

Yesterday was like any other Sundays only probably with a slight drizzle when I was driving to my dad's, but somehow unaware of the severity the wet season, I soon found myself maneuvering, reversing, U-turning and weaving traffic like there's no tomorrow just to avoid the drain water flooding the roads. My 15 minutes drive soon turned into a 45 minutes drive of tedious steering and cognitive road mapping (something that I'm sure liang wee would have trouble at hehe).

I snapped a few photos of the flood near the town area along Padungan when the flood happened.

I wanted to post this entry last night but the wireless connection next door was down, probably shorted by the flood water, so now I'm blogging from work. The flood receded at about 8pm last night and the remains of the drifted papers, plastic bags and even the rubbish bins can be seen all over the road this morning.

My aunt said that it's been a LONG while since a flood this severe last happened like a few decades ago. Sigh, I hope the raining season will stop soon or somehow because we can't really hang out with the roads flooding like lakes.

kill joy...
