war of the worlds

watched War of the Worlds with Clarissa yesterday night at 7pm right after my PA tuition which ends at 6.30pm, thankfully she had already bought the tickets that morning before watching Initial D. I have to say though, the movie was a big let down for me externally.. not by the fact that I dun have my specs on and affected my view, but there was lack of cinematography technology involved.. I mean, yes "tripods" machines implanted in earth before the birth of man and beams "puffing" humans to ashes within their paths is truly fascinating and also tanks, missiles, rocket launchers looked like ants compared to the alien machines but finally lost to God's natural creation of microorganisms but I dun think that Steven Spielberg has actually made the movie somewhat interesting, but instead really boring.. however, internally, I applauded the fact that the story-made-movie story line written by H.G.Wells himself is truly inspiring in his own ways projected to us through the big screen.. the emotions and drama is just intense.. the human will to survive through hardship, and the significance of the often neglected natural microscopic beings which exists on earth long before the existence of man has shown it's importance to the world.. well, to sum it all up, it was a great reality check for myself for where I stand on earth.. but the movie just sucked with it's lame cinematography though.. hehe.. a 5 out of 10 for me..

after the movies, we headed to greenhill corner for a little supper then again headed to Tom's Place and had cheesecakes.. haven't been to tom's place for a long time.. there were two angmo's there as well and the owner approached them to ask them about their food and escorted them out and totally ignored us although we were the last group of people there.. we were trying to compliment on the cakes..
