my favourite, fried chicken kolo mee! *slurp*
The view across The Waterfront at Sungai Sarawak in the afternoon was nice as usual.
So nice that we decided to take a sampan ride across the Sungai Sarawak and well, I'd say that it's not for the heavy ones if u don't know how to do weight balancing.. and no, I'm not talking about myself, I went on too you know!
It was a rocky ride, and it didn't help by the fact that Fort Margherita or the Orchid Garden was either closed or gone for the construction of the Dewan Undangan Negeri. I would've put a photo of the D.U.N in construction but I wouldn't wanna cause anymore uproar here than it already has.
Tired and exhausted, I brought them back to their hotel, checked in let them have a few hours sleep before any further exploration later in the evening. Apparently, being the football fans they were, they were awake the whole night watching a match and went straight to the Senai Airport and flew in to Kuching.
Thursday evening for a mall stroll in The Spring, Boulevard, Tun Jugah, or Sarawak Plaza in Kuching wasn't actually the perfect timing. They were pretty bummed out by the population of GIRLS in Kuching, I mean being rational, who WOULD even go for mall strolling on a weekday? They flew in on thursday morning and left on friday evening.
Sarawak Cultural Village was a must for first time peninsulars of course, so we took a 45 mins drive up hoping to not get lost because I've never drove up Damai myself. Kennedy, Kevin and Siew Joo's boyfriend all gave me the same direction:
"After roundabout, take the first turn on your left, go straight, after traffic light, turn right and go straight till the end..."
Amazingly I didn't get lost.
tents up for harvest festival They had fun harvesting the padi rice, attempting the cultural "foot trap" dance, risking falling off the raft and drowning, saw some pretty japanese girl tourists and even a hand at music instruments(I've got the video to prove it later on).

While we were at one of the houses, I strummed the guitar hanging on the walls while carefully examining the piece,

then out of no where, this guy silently came up on the doorway and scared the hell out of me with his expressionless face.
He sat down on the doorway and strummed a few tunes and surprisingly pointed to Wen Sheng to play with him on the xylophone-like instrument. Hell, I've even got the video to prove it.
I guess he wasn't very good at it.
We stopped by Damai Beach resort on the way back for a 15 minutes rest.

feelin the breeze eih?
I wanted to bring them to visit Museum Sarawak but it was closed ON TIME at 4.30pm when we reached. So punctual for what!??! Instead they snapped a few photos at the aquatic museum at nearby.

I don't even know what to say.
As a finale, I brought them up Civic Center for a bird's eye view on Kuching on a larger scale. Luckily enough, the elevators were still open.

To be honest with you, it was a little dizzy for me.
You know wad they say, every beginning has to be an ending. Wanted to bring them to the clubbing scene in Kuching for some real Kuching girls but again, like I said, wrong timing. Drove them to the airport and send them off to Miri.
I called Wen Sheng at Miri and they said the girls there were better. Of course they are, it's a weekend!!
Well, it was fun but there were still a few places that I didn't have time to show them around due to their short stay. Looking forward to more visits.
Expect my next entry on an incident in LCCT when I bumped into a few bitches while waiting for my flight back Kuching. Till then...
